{"id":1484,"date":"2013-10-29T13:46:08","date_gmt":"2013-10-29T19:46:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.3-2-1-boom.com\/doctor-e\/?p=1484"},"modified":"2013-10-29T13:46:08","modified_gmt":"2013-10-29T19:46:08","slug":"205-getting-to-know-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.3-2-1-boom.com\/doctor-e\/2013\/10\/205-getting-to-know-you\/","title":{"rendered":"(205) Getting To Know You"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a quick interlude piece to sate your Doctor E desires, Chuck Wendig wrote a piece on a quick design for your character(s): <a title=\"THE ZERO-FUCKERY QUICK-CREATE GUIDE TO KICK-ASS CHARACTERS (AND ALL THE CRAZY PLOT STUFF THAT SURROUNDS \u2018EM)\" href=\"http:\/\/terribleminds.com\/ramble\/2013\/10\/28\/plot-and-character\/ \" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/terribleminds.com\/ramble\/2013\/10\/28\/plot-and-character\/ <\/a>and I thought it might be amusing to use it to characterize E for you. \u00a0Feel free to disagree and offer alternatives!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>LOGLINE:<\/strong>\u00a0Doctor E is a single, white, jobless, practitioner of magic trying to keep the world safe from creatures who come from beyond its reality.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PROBLEM:<\/strong> E knows enough to be dangerous, not enough to be effective, and he&#8217;s almost drawn like an addict to the conflicts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SOLUTION:<\/strong> E&#8217;s solution is to minimize his role so as not to gain the attention of presumably petulant powers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE CONFLICT BETWEEN:\u00a0<\/strong>E has either killed or severely injured a Dragon, and has thus thrust himself into the spotlight.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LIMITATION:<\/strong> E&#8217;s largest limitation is his fear of commitment; he characterizes it as not wanting to be a wizard, but it&#8217;s really that he doesn&#8217;t want to give up his normality.<\/p>\n<p><strong>COMPLICATIONS:<\/strong> E&#8217;s in the middle of a magical war for which he needs to pick sides.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GREATEST FEAR:<\/strong> That E is powerful enough to be noticed, but not powerful enough to affect his or the world&#8217;s destiny.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DESCRIPTION:<\/strong> Cute, not handsome.
